America thrives on deliberation
In the last fifteen years political partisanship has increased dramatically. Not only do Republicans and Democrats disagree on values, they also feel more hostility towards one another. Fortunately, the Constitution provides us with the vocabulary to build a more perfect union. Unfortunately, fewer Americans know how to think constitutionally.

According to Chief Justice John Roberts, the judiciary teaches civics by providing reasons for their decisions. We teach each other when we use the Constitution to support our claims.
