According to America’s founding documents, all power is derived from the people. The Constitution, the highest law in the land, is composed by “We, the People.” In our constitutional democracy, the government’s powers is limited. It can only move where the people consent and on the people’s timeline. But what if urgent matters require a stronger hand?
This presentation considers the advantages and disadvantages of popular sovereignty during a time of crisis. How can we encourage the best aspects of We the People to come forward?
